Link to UKA Awards Adele Nicoll takes 3 club records in 2008 U13G Shot 10m 09cm, Discus 22m 42cm & 80m 10.98sec Welsh Indoor Championships - Saturday 12th January 2008 Mathew Jones struck Gold in the U13 800 metres, at the Welsh Indoors championships at National Indoor Centre in Cardiff. His time was 2.27.29 mins. He also gained a bronze medal in Long Jump with a leap of 4.15 metres. John's Saturday Cross Country training Group The Shropshire XC League resulted in trophies for our Olympian athletes.  They will all be hoping to do well at Shropshire Championships on 5th Jan. At stake will be places in the Shropshire team going to the national inter-counties championships at Nottingham.  Also up for grabs at the Shropshire Schools Champs on 19th Jan will be trips to English Schools national XC Championships.    Mathew Jones finished 3rd overall in the Under 13 boys age group of the Welsh XC league. (See results pages for details) Being his first year as an u13, he will run in the same age group again next year.  Mathew could also earn a place at the inter counties at Nottingham. He will be running in the N Wales Champs at Northop on 26th Jan, from there he could earn his place, representing N Wales.  Under 11 runners have their own Championships, which this winter will be at Much Wenlock on 1st March BORDER OLYMPIANS The Oswestry Olympians' composite club in the National Junior League, Border Olympians have for the second year running reached the Midlands Promotion match.
