High
Jump : The Basics
Use
an 8 stride run-up, 3 strides straight, 5 on a tight curve.
Lean
strongly in to the center of the curve and drop the shoulder
farthest from the bar.

Take
off about 70cm out from the bar and about lm in from the upright

Take
off foot should be in line with your run, not twisted.
"Free"
leg and arm on same side, nearest the bar, must be driven across the
body and up at take off.
Arm
and shoulder nearest the bar must be kept high and not dropped.
Aim
to keep hips high and look back on bar clearance; don't look at knees.
When
you sort out a run-up which works, measure it either in foot lengths
or metres and write down the distances (a & b)
